A sassy mortal, after much heartache. Sometimes snide and cynical. Though she has her own way of doing things, and doesn’t like to be seen as some damsel in distress. Capable of handling herself in situations.
Brief History:
The eldest daughter of King Creon in Thebus. She’d grown up with a live of leisure and belonging. For sometime she even had a lover, who was to be her fiancée. But the Fates had something else planned for him. His death. Not able to bare the thought of loosing him she made a bargain with Hades, the Lord of the Underworld. For it was known that Hades was a betting God. In return for her lovers life Megara offered her soul. Rather than she taking his place both were permitted to live.
However, shortly after Megara’s lover left her for another woman, whom he’d been seeing in secret. And it was too late, her bargain with Hades was complete. Her Lover lived, and Hades owned her soul. Now she’s the mortal servant, his own bargaining chip and go to girl when he needed something done without anyone knowing his involvement.
Side Note: Since Megara isn’t seen in the Show. She’s a combination of both Actual Greek Myth and the movie.
In True Greek Myth. Megara was the first wife of Hercules. Given her hand to wed after a great feat he preformed. Together they had three children. But because Hera was jealous of the Demi-God born of her husband and a mortal woman, she sent a madness to Hercules. In his fit he killed his children and Meg. Though another tell said Megara survived and escaped, marrying Iolus.
