Name: Artemis
Title: Goddess of the Hunt, Protector of the Young, Patron of Fertility, The God's Hunters. Goddess of the Moon. Goddess of Wilderness. Protector of the Young.
Parents: Zeus and Leto
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 140 lbs
Eye Color: Appears dark brown, if looked at close resembling a Hawks pair.
Hair Color: Golden Tawny Brown.
Powers/Special Abilites:Along with the most common gifts of the Gods, such as teleportation and strength, she is equipped with a Silver Bow and Silver arrows made by Hepheastes and the Cyclopes. When fired, the arrows may become surrounded by a silver flame or silver light which can put into effect alot of damage. Some often just disable the opponent like a tranqualizer. She can transform others into forms of animals at her will. She herself may take on these forms. Often using the guise of a golden doe, or a hawk. Along with her brother she is a healing Goddess.
Brief History: Artemis, daughter to Zeus and Leto, was given birth a day early than her twin brother Apollo. When she was bore, there was no pain to her mother and in fact, she helped her mother along the straits over to Delos. There Leto gave birth to Artemis' twin brother Apollo.
She grew up in the loving care of her mother, along with Apollo, whom both were very loyal and loving to eachother. Artemis grew as most of the gods did, quickly and to a beautiful young woman. At an early age she asked her father Zeus to grant her eternal virginity. She became known as one of the Virigin Goddesses. Never giving herself to anyone.
When she was young she did fall in love with a hunter, but that love soon deminished and he was killed not by her but by another. She would thus devote herself entirly to Virginity and all her Nymphs which were often seen at her side would thus be so as well. Artemis is one of the Twelve Olympians, and often visits Olympus, whether for meetings or just to share time with her Father.
She is worshiped by hunters but mostly Amazons. She even has her own 'army' of warriors who serve her with their faith. Often though she is seen lounging about with her own group of Nymphs.
Personality: Artemis is very protective of her virginity and of her family. Loyal to her father and to her brother, she sometimes becomes very possessive as well. When her way is not followed by mortals, her anger is very swift and brutal. Often turning men and women who dishonour her into animals and hunting them down, whether by herself or persuading a family member or friend to. She also does not like when any of her family is spoken ill of. A stern yet respectful Goddess, Artemis will help others who she feels need her assitance, and who prove themselves.
