Before long the chronicle of Xena’s demise had been re-written, her fate to be born anew near completion. “Behold your Warrior Princess shall rise again! In blood to fire I summon thee. Live and breathe you soul is now free!” The spiky haired blonde laid his hands upon the book, and the glow of flame began to alight down his arms and into the weathered pages. Energy passed from the God to the magical tome, alighting the picture from within. Xena’s image blazed from black ink to golden fire. The structure shook and the altar cracked in two. Loki fell to his knees with exhaustion; Bent, haggard, and with graveled voice he spoke, “in the tomb of her final resting place is where you should seek her out.” Ares pivoted, slicing the bonds of Fenrir before smirking his thanks. “When my eyes befall upon her, and your word is proved true I will give you the power of revenge you need.” He patted his sword knowingly, and then vanished in a blaze of white-hot power. ~ He re-appeared on the road to Xena's hometown of Amphipolis. As he walked he sang a light song to himself as he placated the scene of reunion at her tomb. “My Tyrians, at their injur’d queen’s command, Had toss’d their fires amid the Trojan band; At once extinguish’d all the faithless name; And I myself, in vengeance of my shame, Had fall’n upon the pile, to mend the fun’ral flame.” Nearing the run-down village he took in the sights and smells of humanity. Before he’d experienced mortality this sight would have look revolting. Now it was atrocious. Smiling bright eyed children, blue-collar laborers hand plowing their fields… His eyes smoldered like coals in a winter fire, and he quickly turned from the path toward the resting place of the fallen dead; to his sublime goddess.

Amphipolis, a once lovely area now seemed a bit runned down and distained. Amphipolis, a place Eve at the moment would call home. In her Grandmothers old Inn. She had been through many villages, many lands, many journies to try and right the wrongs she had commited. But all the roads led back here. To her mothers village, to her families land, to the quiet streets of these busy places. Bright children, farmers that tow, where life goes on as always. And as for Cyrene's Inn, it becomes now Eve's home.
It has been a while since her mother has died, since Gabrielle left as well. And it has been hard to adjust. From a life of retribution seeking, to a life of solice and trying to understand. Trying to cope with the loss of a woman she loved so dearly, yet knew so little in time. That's perhaps what Eve meditated about so much lately. What would come now that the end had.
At the moment she settled herself comfortably at the tomb of a woman she admired over most. A woman whom she ones called enemy but soon called Mother. The marking of the final resting place of Xena, Great Warrior Princess. Or rather Queen.
Eve's heart broke every time she laid eyes onto the pilar of stone that marked the burial ground. And every time she set a flow along the ground she thought of the dearly departed. She leaned forward now, on her knees. Robes held flowing and loose, yet bright and tight. Her hand caressed the gentle flowers that had begun to grow over the grave. Taking in all their splendor. She began to speak softly as her eyes slowly closed. " I miss you Mother. I miss you so much." her voice was hushed, barely audible. "I feel like I lost a peice of myself...I wish you were here again." she sighed softly. She knew that would never be, but it was hard to say goodbye. It always was. Slowly she leaned forward to kiss the stone tablet, and slowly she sat back up again to just admire the area before her. How can the legends just end here? It was all to simple.

Darkness. Utter darkness and deafening silence. Then a sudden gasp of breath followed by muffled screams. The peaceful quietness of a family tomb is broken by these surprising sounds of life. The coffin lid of the warrior princess begins to move. A little at first, then it flies off its base and flips several feet into the air coming to a rest at the feet of the sarcophagus. The dark haired, blue-eyed warrior sits up slowly from the satin lined box. She looked around the dim candle-lit stone room. The dark outline of two other coffins sit across the room. Moonlight shines in through the open door. The warrior tries to pull herself up to stand, but her muscles are tight and haven’t been used in what seems like forever. She slips slightly and is left reclining with her elbow on her pillow, when she hears footsteps outside the tombs door. A tall silhouette appears in the doorway. Moonlight shines off his leather-clad form. As he steps into the light of the candles, the warrior immediately recognizes the chiseled chin and rippled chest of the Olympian God. He walks to the coffin and offers his hand to the warrior princess and helps her to her feet. As she steps from her “final” resting place, she notices the flowers placed lovingly at her sword, which is embedded in a stone at the head of her casket. Thoughts of her faithful companion and her life before flood her senses. She closes her eyes and sees the beautiful faces of her fair-haired friend, her long lost son, the daughter she never saw grow up, even the face of her worst enemy as an angel. These wonderful memories are then followed by thoughts of a far off land and her last moments. Then fire. A blazing inferno surrounding her. A face appears through the flames, a familiar face, his face. She opens her eyes to see that face again. “Ares, What have you done?”
“I’ve been waiting for you, Xena.”
She’d been as sad as anyone else with Xena’s death. She had been her best friend, her sister. Closing her eyes she fought back tears. Even with burning the loom of the fates, the Gods and Goddess came back, but not her closest friend. There had been some time spent traveling with Hercules, the Demi-God son of Zeus. He was often a close ally to her and the Warrior Princess. Now, it was time to go back. To pay her respects. She owed it to Xena, and to herself.
It had taken three days travel to reach Amphipolis, it had been too long since she had been back. Staff marked the dirt path as she walked, sandal clad feet kicking up dust. Life had change and you couldn’t stop that. Not even the Gods could. Though they often tried. With a tired sigh Gabrielle started down the path to the tomb. Stepping softly inside she noticed she wasn’t alone. There was someone else there inside. Moving slender hand gripped a hold of the staff she wielded. Slowly her movements brought her in more until eye fell upon the kneeling form of Eve, paying her own respects to the Warrior Princess.
“I miss her too.”
She didn’t want to startle the girl, but she would recognize her voice as she heard it. Releasing hold with one hand from her staff, she placed it upon the girls shoulder. Over the years traveling with Xena she’d learned and grown. Even from a young naive girl. But after watching Xena, and listening to her, she gained her own knowledge and wisdom. With a soft sigh she continued. “She would have wanted us to continue on, fight for what she did. A noble death, to save the lives of others, I couldn’t think of another way that would have fit her better.”
But there was sorrow to her voice, even with her own attempts to bring her beloved friend back. She couldn’t let on. The disappointment she felt within herself, that after all the times Xena had saved her, she could not do the same in return…
She admitted she didn't know her mother as well as she would have hoped. No, her childhood was stolen away at her mothers apparent death. Eve was found by Octavius and was even to be married. Her past though, was but her own shame. She grew up with the malice and thirst for blood that her own parents repented later for. She was trained to be as soldier, honoured as a Champion. She killed hundreds upon hundreds without a thread of single remorse. She even fought her mother.
But in the end she found her path, her way, and with the guidance of her mother and her friends, Eve found herself again. She found herself to be what her mother had hoped she would have become. Nothing like the old way of life. They travelled together, all three as some trio of justic.
But when her mother died, Eve could not go on anymore. And the two that were left went seperate ways. Even in this line of hoping for solice, Eve was never content. This life, this life had little to what her true mission was. Sure, she had a small following of worshippers who came and listened to words. But inside, she was her own demon, a wreck. And she knew that she needed the word to be spread, that is what Eli would have wished. That is what he died for.
As she payed her respects, almost to the point of shedding a tear, a sudden tap on her shoulder stirred her. But she was not startled as she heard slight footsteps from a bit off. Turning, she glanced up to see the face of her mothers truest friend and companion, Gabrielle. A woman so full of wisdom and understanding now, a woman Eve had come to love as a friend, as a sister as well. Slowly Eve stood to her bare feet. Before a sudden gentle smile played over her lips. " Gabrielle..I'm so happy to see you again. I hope everything is well for you." she seemed to brighten up as arms flew to wrap around the blonds shoulders. Pulling her into a tight hug. Then she let go.
"I sometimes think maybe, she will come back. Maybe this whole thing was some mistake, that she's not really taken. But then reality strikes, and I have to remember her for her greatness. And I admit I'm a bit ashamed for not being able to leave this village to continue on with what you said. With what my mother would have wanted."

Heavy boots crunched on loose stones and sank into rain soaked earth as his weight was distributed evenly. For the first time since her death Ares was in a good mood. The twenty five years of Xena being dead and in that ice cave were wiped from existence thanks to Gabrielle, and everything seemed basically in order save for the leftover souls that didn’t quite fit into the picture. Namely Xena’s daughter Eve; and as far as Ares was concerned she could have been a bastard child making her way in Rome, or a raving lunatic plucked out of time and place without a clue of who and what she used to be in the natural order of things. He could care less, so long as the bitch stayed out of his way. Time had been befouled when Gabrielle burned the Loom of the Fates; he was simply adding another chapter with the help of his new Norseman ally.
“I’ve been waiting for you Xena,” he confessed with a sugared tenor. His memory hadn’t tarnished her, but it was no substitution for the real thing, that much was clear - Dark hair, translucent skin, softer that he could have possibly imagined for someone in her profession… Yes, Loki had done his job, and he’d done it well. As he stepped closer the shadows of darkness washed up his face, deepening the hard edge of jawline. “What have I done? Everything! Everything that you wanted, I have done. You asked that Eve should be made safe. And I protected her. You fought me at every turn and I was determined. I have reordered time. I have turned the fates upside-down, and allowed you to reign once again as you should have. And you ask, what I have done… tisk tisk Xena.” Ares leaned a forearm on the lip of coffin, deliberately invading her space. He took in the smell of her skin, the distinctive aroma of leather, the perfume of her hair. Reaching down he offered a hand, a knowing grin passing across his lips and giving him the appearance of a naughty school-boy with intentions of misbehavior.

He’d been left behind, until the deal was complete with a growl he watched the going ons. How could his father have agreed, or put trust in a God after what their Gods had done to them, locking them up for the eternities. Oh but what he would give to be freed. “I could kill a god without second thought goddess.” He’d barked back, after centuries he was tired of being tied in this state but he quieted. There was more going on then he would have thought. Ares was a clever God, he could smell it on him.
Then there was interaction between his father and the Greek Gods, his nose twitched watching. Joining of household, marriage black orbs scanned those he saw watching, sitting as a wolf would to relive some of the pull from the enchanted thread. His Father was free and he was not, and as the Gods left him he howled, would his own Father betray him, leaving him there to solitude? A prominent growl came forth.
As time passed he could feel the ember of hate growing within him, but as it was starting the Greek God of War re-appeared slicing through the bonds that held him for so long at bay. With a strech he moved and spread his tired muscles, feeling the burn of not having used some of them. Towering over the God of War he watched until he disappeared. Finally he was free as his father was, and that’s who’s side he was heading too. But he wanted something more, and he would ask his father about it. He wanted to take a human form.

Standing over her sister, the tall lithe form of Discord smirked. They were in Asguardian lands now- lands that, in all honesty, were new to her and strange. She couldn't help but feel lost in the cavern that had once held Loki and Fenrir for so long.
Her body bent over her sister, who still slept silently from the poison. Working diligently she shackled the beautiful goddess up and seemed to show a bit of sorrow upon her usually hate-filled features. Kneeling she took her sisters chin in her hand and stared for a few moments. "I see why he loves you..." was all she said before turning her head down.
"Kydoimos! Kera!" her voice matched the same bellowing tone as her twin brother as she yelled for her children's assistance- her two beloved children to be honest. Ky and Kera were her favorites-as if her mother could have any... but if there were a word for how she felt towards them, it would be just that.
A swirl of black sulfur announced the arrival of the twins, Kera-who was always the leader, took first step towards her mother, Kydoimos followed slowly behind. His constant look of glee-due to his constant state of confusion (hence his godhood)- seemed to grow even more as his mother came to view. The embrace of the three almost (and we say ALMOST) brought a tear to her eye... for their closeness reminded her so much of herself and Ares.
"Children..." she whispered softly as she took their warm appendages, "I need you to watch your Aunt Persephone." A sudden look of shock and protest came upon Ky's face. However, Discord sent her gaze from her son to daughter-"She shall not be hurt... although I dislike my sister, I will not hurt my uncle. Her disappearance alone shall almost kill him and send him on a wild chase." Hands brought both heads close so she could look them both in the eye. "However, I do NOT want her found until I tell you so..." her eyes danced to Ky "And I do NOT want her to remember this night."
Ky smirked- understanding fully what that meant. Now what needed to be understood about Kydoimos and Kera... they are just as evil as their mother (if not worse in Kera's favor). Kera smirked as well, taking her brother into arms and rocking him so slightly. "Yes mother, we will do as you ask..." they answered in unison-the only difference between them and she and Ares, they had a better link.
Nodding she smiled and kissed her children gently upon the head-even with her two better known children, she was never affectionate. However, Kydoimos and Kera were at her side almost always... and her affection grew ten fold each day.
Slowly the Goddess of Strife rose and turned to her children. "Ky- keep her asleep... and Kera, keep her in those shackles." Her children knew not of where they were and of the shackles that binded their aunt... but all they did know was Mother didn't want aunt Persephone to move-and that she shant.
Turning towards the cave's outlet, her eyes deepened slightly at the sudden sight of her towering heights. However, unlike Mt. Olympus where it stood alone amongst the clouds- the asguards had mountains galore... a beautiful sight. Her body leaned against the opening of the tunnel. For a moment, she would look in awe.

Obeying as all good children would, Kydoimos and Kera curled next to eachother as they watched their Aunt Persephone sleep her poison-enduced slumber.
Kydoimos, the ever affectionate one, felt sorry for his Aunt... he didn't like to see any of his family in such a state-however, he listened to his mother. Although usually confused, Kydoimos- or Ky to most- knew his mother was conflicted in her heart as well. He wondered silently to himself what that would mean for them- were they next?
Kera smacked her twin's leg. "Don't think so much, you're giving me a headache. And she wouldn't do that you dolt... mother loves us." Her voice was a verbal slap in the face-compared to Kydoimos, Kera was very harsh.
Grunting a bit she held her twin closer. "But you're right..." she stated finally with a sigh, "She is conflicted and something is going on in her dark little head... and I wish she would tell us what it is dear brother..." Although sighing-her face never lost it's hard and angry tone.
"Sister dear, what if mother is being forced to do this..." Kydoimos looked around. "We aren't in Greece any more... maybe she's... you know... forced."
Kera glanced around- go figure that her dimwit brother would notice that they weren't in Greece before her. She grunted once more. "We'll find out soon enough..." and as a mother would, she let Kydoimos fall asleep upon her lap, stroking his blonde locks gently.

Her children mumbled sweet nothings to each other behind her, she loved Ky and Kera more than life itself… something her dear sister had helped her with. True ‘Dite didn’t always get along with Discord, and vice-versa, but something made her motherly instincts and love go wild for certain members of her family. Yes Strife and Ate were large parts of her life… but Ky and Kera were her two special children… ie: they listened to their mother.
The thought of parenthood sent her mind on another child… Fenrir. Her arms crossed slightly as she thought about he and his father. Would they take her… was she going to really be his wife? Many other thoughts raced through her mind about this man and his child. This was something she needed to pursue on her own perhaps.
Eyeing her children she whispered a quiet, “now you two keep guard like my good soldiers…” before she disappeared in fire and the scent of brimstone. Her children smiling, Ky on Kera’s lap still, they stared blankly at their aunt.
Her body reappeared in the chamber of Fenrir and Loki… an eye scanning the area. “Not bad here….” She whispered to herself, however, loud enough for Loki to hear. Turning to the blonde haired man, her eyes closed slightly as her hands wrapped around her own waist. “Beautiful land, you do control… however, how long will you be my brother’s lapdog?” Discord inquired as she took a few more steps towards the god, her fingers now able to trail along his shoulder blades.
Body slowly bent to his ear… a whisper so sensual it would make most men crazy. “I know a strong god such as yourself, won’t fall for the old… ‘You’ll get it when I see it’ trick…” she smirked to herself, letting her nails slip into his blonde locks and stroke his head for a moment or two. Discord’s lips were still close to his ear, and she leaned in, kissing him gently from his ear to his neck. “Show me… just.. how.. strong… you are.” With each word the flames in her eyes would grow.

Loki was not fooled by the generous offer made by the Greek god Ares. He knew that he’d not amassed that much power with offers that did not have strings of deceit. And being the God of chaos and of trickery, he was not content to just sit in his chambers and wait for the God or War’s sword so he could reap his revenge. He paced to his son, scratching him behind the ears. “Now is the hour of their discontent. If they want Ragnarok, then they shall have it… in ABUNDANCE!”
White teeth flashed as his grin turned from mischievous to malicious. He was already pondering the hell on earth that the release of his son and himself marked. Discord wanted darkness, she wanted war… then he could think of nothing better to offer his new bride. Once she flamed back into his chambers he crossed the room reacting at once to her accusation that he was Ares’ lapdog.
“How true you are to your namesake, Discord… but I am no one’s lapdog. Ares asked for his warrior princess to be reborn and re-forged in flesh she is… but now for the rub… For I am sure Ares is too arrogant to expect me to bite the hand that feeds. How wrong he is… how wrong indeed…”
Loki grabbed up Discord about he waist, winked to his son and then the trio flamed out, re-appearing in the burial chambers of Xena, the Warrior Princess. “What a lovely picture…” he mocked, smirking his lips into a pucker, then eyeing Discord… “Don’t you agree?” “I have made good on my end of the bargain, now I would like what was promised to me!”

Discord grinned some purring at the growl in Loki's tone... how much she enjoyed his company now. Purring in his ear, her body leaned on him, rubbing gently as she nuzzled into him. He amused her so... he was... about to start with her brother. The flames in her eyes grew as she grinned.
Eyeing her soon-to-be-husband, she grinned once more, nuzzling and biting on his ear. "Bite the hand that feeds... he wouldn't feed shit, he would eat the food that would be given to the animal first... my dear." Her tongue licked his ear gently, biting it softly.
As they reappeared, she eyed her soon-to-be-son, her smile widened, she liked this boy... though a wolf... she liked him a lot. Her lips were mere breathes from his ear as she finally whispered, "I can give him a body... make him look human, with his wolf abilities still intact...." her daughter had the ability, her daughter loved her. She could do anything for this new family... this would be interesting.
Smirking a bit, she smiled before they flamed out of the room they were in and reappeared in the hall of the warrior princess. "Love does not suit you, Ares...." she hissed as she eyed her brother.
"Oh.. interesting Discord, you leave family, for this...." he eyed this, Asguardian god. His eyes scanned the two. "Love the way you stick with fucking... family bitch. You need to get your act straight bitch. We are family you little fucker... now get your act straight."
"Ares... if I ever cared about you.... well I never did so I wouldn't care much about what happened to your precious, Xena there... but we will forget about that for now... she will get everything that needs to be done with her later." her voice was a hiss as she spoke before curling against Loki once more.
Her lips neared his ear again, "can I kill her once he's human?" she questioned with a pout.

What had happened? She wasn't sure really, would she ever be sure? Something told her not. Now she layed, silent as ever, like a sleeping beauty in front of the pair of twin family members. Of course everyone was family. The last thing she remembered was speaking with Meg before getting striked down by some type of arrow. A pain, a annoying unbelievable pain which induced slumber had spread through her. What was going on? She wasn't sure.
She was unconcious in her outterly appearence but in her mind, it was racing. Like a horrible dream it was all coming to be. She was standing in a dead field now, a dead field with nothing but yellow grass and withered flowers. Persephone could feel her heart racing against time, she didn't like this place not one bit. It reminded her of death, and you would think that someone wouldn't mind it considering she was Queen of the Underworld, but still she minded it alot. Alot when it was to do with her.
She heard voices around her, small voices, voices she recognized. One ever soft and gentle, Ky yes. He was always the soft gentle one. He was one of many family members she loved. She loved him because of his gentle yet confused demenor. Her tiny nephew whom she had watched over many times when he was growing up. Like Evander and Adonis, they often played together. Then there was a harsh tone, a vile one, full of detest. It was Kera. She was not a favorite of hers indeed. She couldn't really make out the words, well she did make them out but seemed never to understand them. Like a prisoner bound to never know what was being done. She was trapped in herself. In this slumber.
She thought she heard Discord once, and that assumption was enough to unnerve her. Was this the womans punishment to her for demanding her leave Evander alone? Or was it some other unsettling plan of hers. Whatever it was, she was growing tired of it. "Let me awake!" she screamed out into the desolate areas of her prison. But nothing was heard. Her outter form, her body twitched a bit in its sleep. Her hand moved, her eyes almost fluttered open, her lips pursed a bit and brows knitted hard. But after only a second of movement she was back again, back to that sleeping state. Why couldn't she awake? What had they done? "Hades.." she called in her mind while slowly falling to the ugly grass feild beneath her. "Hades..please help me" her cries were silent and kept within her. Except of course for a sudden connection Hades and Persephone had always shared. A sudden dread or feeling of worry would come over either if one was in trouble or needed assistance. Damn it be that she could not reach him though, or at least not tell him what had happened or what was being done.

Sighing Ky began to cry softly into his sister's lap. He disliked having to do this with family, and it bothered him so much to this point. "Sister... I want to awaken auntie... but mother said..."
Kera snapped at Kydoimos "No! we must do what mother said... it's her wishes and we need to be good..." Ky nodded some before burrowing his head into his sister's thigh. His mind was racing about what to do with his aunt.
It was then that Kera felt guilty for snapping at her confused brother, her hand stroked his head gently. "I am sorry my darling... just-I do not understand either... Aunt Persephone should not be in this state. But if I know mother-this wasn't her choice... as much as she detested Aunt Persephone, she loved uncle Hades too much to do this with her own plans." Kera huffed slightly and crossed her arms, thinking silently. "I think uncle Ares had something to do with this."
The sudden slight movement had Kera almost jump in her seated position, Ky touched his aunt softly to make her fall into the slumber once more. "I... hate having to do this Kera..."
"I do too..." for once, her voice was soft, her hand pet down her aunts hair so it was soft once more. Her head shook. Kydoimos joined her now... "Aunt Persephone, please... please remember we didn't choose this... and Mother is being forced." Their voice was in unisen eyes both sad. What was going on within the families of Mount Olympus?

Something was wrong in the Underworld, usually by this time his wife was at his side in the dark lair. Form clad in black and crimson red paced as he moved, ordering mionons to get to work as he went out to find his wife. Form moved through the darkness and he moved along the curving paths, the long cloak flowing behind him as he came into the great hall. “Ceberus” he shouted and the three headed dog moved out from the shadows knowing that look in his masters eyes. There was a whimper from one of the heads a deep growl from one of the others but he paid attention to the middle.
He saw it now something had happen and turning with his cloak flowing he saw a hand in lime light. Moving he went over towards if, she wasn’t dead he would have known. But a scowl formed on his lips as he saw it was Meg, his personal servant. Since she sold her soul to him. This was a personal attack against the Lord of the Underworld and he placed Mag in a room before his temper really started to grow. A feel as if his wife was calling for him beckoning him and in a flash of fire, with the smell of brimstone and sulfur he was gone to where he could sense his wife.
Reappearing Hades looked into the younger faces of his niece and nephew anger growing as he yelled “What have you done!” Hades was furious as he went to Persephone’s side, she was affected with the same thing Meg had been, leaving them in a state where he could not rouse her. Rising slowly he turned “Is your mother behind this?” nothing was answered and he shouted eyes turning red like embers “IS YOUR MOTHER BEHIND THIS. WHERE IS SHE!” He was close with Discord, but if she had done this if she planed this, that love would be turned to hate, he wouldn’t give any mercy even upon family. But it was all part of the distraction to get the soul of Xena, the Warrior princes.
