Persephone seemed to frown a bit at Megara's answer. And it was not often that she did. " I am sorry to hear that Megara. Perhaps, in the end, something else will come out of this." Persephone was always a bit on the optomistic side, at least more than many other gods. "And no offense is taken." Persephone respected Megara, and there was not many mortals whom Persephone did in fact.
But when the whole occurance of Megara falling to the floor from something even Persephone did not understand, she would not leave her. Not here, not alone. "I will make sure you are safe.." she whispered gently as she kneeled to Megara and pressed a gentle white hand to the womans forhead. Unsure if she was alive or not. And slowly Persephone stood and looked about again. Who was this that dared attack in this domain without its Lords permission. Such disrespect. There was time when Persephone's own pride shown true, and it took her in a heat of swift vengence. Just as it was times that her loyalty to her husband would bring upon the same hand of fate, but Persephone had not time now.
Suddenly there was a jolting pain in her stomach and her hands moved to grasp the area. Her soft eyes looked down to see a arrow protruding from her abdomen. Just then came the words of Discord, but Persephone didn't respond at all. Her mind was getting to light, she couldn't think and the pain, it was excrutiating. She didn't think she could bare it any longer. Was this her end? No, Discord just gave its truth out as Persephone fell to one knee. Why would the Asgard's wish this upon her? She began to breath deeply before gasping for breath. And through it all she only managed to get out a single soft word. Whispered so low, and so little in audibleness. "Haadess.."
Her mind was almost gone, her heart felt as if it had stopped in time, in place for the moment. And she managed to raise them up to see a blurry form in front of her. Before finally she fell to the ground. Gently, like some sleeping beauty. The scent of florals surrounding her became very faint.
When they vanished the only sound she could hear was the sudden barking and growls of Ceberus whom had returned. A dog was all that saw what had happened, a dog who would never be understood.
