Once His lessons were over Evander grinned as he made his way from the teacher and students heading towards the lake near his village, a devious smirk crossing his lips as he flashed to Olympus or more specifically Hepheasus’ Forge/Palace. Snickering softly to himself Evander quietly made his way through Hepheasus’ forge looking for a few of his uncle’s arrows an ordinary bow strapped to his small back, a grin spreading across his face as he spotted the quivers holding Cupid’s arrows. Grabbing one containing the arrows with dove feathers and one of owl feathered arrows, having his prize the young trickster demi-god flashed out of his uncle’s forge in a flash of blue flames and laughter. Reappearing in a busy intersection of Athens though invisible to mortals Evander snickered at the fun he was going to have, the run away thief put to the back of his mind for now, pulling the bow around his shoulder Evander grabbed one of the arrows with a dove feather (love) aiming at one of two near by guards Evander took aim and fired, biting his lower lip as he watched the arrow imbed itself in the soldier’s leg before disappearing in a puff of gold sparks. Laughing loudly as the now love struck guard began chasing after his watch-duty partner Evander forgot completely about returning home as he readied another arrow.

Normally the actions and goings on of mortals did not concern her in the least. But with this latest development, Hecate found herself very interested indeed. Evander knew something he was not forth letting and she would get it out of him somehow.
The boy would for once respect an elder. Something was going on that was worth her attention and she knew it, and usually anything to do with mortals she stayed well out of, unless of course it required her to do her job. Other then that she kept herself separate, not mixing like most of the other gods. She saw little reason to do so, she wasn't by any means an egotistical goddess no, but she felt it was not right to mingle with worshippers.
Settled in her lair, her pets resting comfortably on either side of her throne, Hecate found herself pacing, something she did not plan to make a habit of, however why the thief had stolen what he did made her ponder which God or Goddess got him to do it. Perhaps she ought to seek out that little pest again, see where he was and find out what he knows.
Instantly her pets had moved to her side, she didn't even have to call them; they came knowing she needed them at her side, for they always were. With a simple shimmer like action the regal Goddess of Death faded from her lair within Hell itself and behind the troublesome little demi-god, " Why is it children must play with toys that are not their own?" Reaching down, Hecate pinched the small ear of the boy with her long and grace pale fingers, " I suggest you put things right, otherwise I'm escorting you just like this to your Father." Her icy jade stare narrowed, “And we need to talk. Now be a good little demi-god for once." She hissed and applied a little more pressure to his ear.#nosmileys

The sudden appearance of the elder Goddess, again, startled Evander causing him to fire the next love arrow though missing his intended target, hitting the man’s mule instead; it would have been extremely funny had Hecate not grabbed his ear “OOOOW!!!!” He cried out his face scrunching up in pain as his hands flew to cover his ear, wincing as the Frosty Bitch squeezed his ear harder “All right! All right!!!” he whined out trying not to move around to much and reaching for an owl feathered arrow (indifference) “Let go and I’ll undo it...” he cried his eyes closed still.

She waited, her fingers still glued practically to the demi-god's ear. Sure it was undoubtedly painful, but he would live. Sure he would probably whine and complain, but nothing she hadn't heard before, she would just amuse snidely and ignore it. She eyed his arrow missing and hitting a mule instead, a small chuckle escaping the lips of Death herself, “Amusing." She acknowledges and then eased up slightly on his ear, “Fix your errors first and then I will let go. I might have been born in the night child, but it was not last night." Yes she did not trust the malicious brat in the least, and she had good reason, as did many others.

Growling slightly, he knocked the arrow aiming once more for the same guard as before letting the arrow fly with a pout on his face at the fact that his fun was once more was cut short by the same Goddess ‘When in Tartarus did the Gods start caring about mortal affairs?’ he thought to himself, sighing almost sadly as the arrow struck his intended target, canceling out the effects of the first arrow. Looking to the direction of his second shot the demi-god started laughing at the sight of the love struck mule and its farmer trying desperately to break the mule out of it’s fit, while also trying to hide from it. Growling once more he looked to Hecate before reaching for a second owl feather arrow he fired it at the mule with another sigh as it hit it’s target. “Happy now?!?!” he asked mutinously he could have flashed away but she most likely would have found him. “Now can you let go, I have to be home before dinner or my mom’ll skin me alive!!” he cried out to the Goddess of Crossroads.

Her head tilted to one side, locks of deep red falling across her eyes, the effect making them appear darker than normal, she watched him carefully as he did as asked and slowly let go of his ear and folded her arms, " Very. Now we need to speak." In a graceful movement she became eye-level with the child and rested her arms on her knee as she looked him straight in the eyes, “That thief. What did he take and for whom did he take it?" Behind her, Pain and Agony had settled themselves on their haunches watching their Mistress going about her business; or rather for once throwing herself into someone else's, a new move for the goddess true, but somehow again she figured her involvement just might be crucial in the thick of it all.

Rolling his eyes slightly in that annoying ‘I’m a kid adults don’t know jack’ attitude he side before crossing his arms over his chest the black leather clad youth glared/pouted at the elder Goddess. With a sigh he looked to her and started to speak “I told you last time you stopped me from playing.... great a thing that he has stole, counterpart a shaft of gold, third and last a jewel of red, with them makes the Goddess dead…. Piece that he has parted with, the arrow point and first on the list...” He sang out and grinned impishly his sapphire eyes sparkling with mirth. “You’re a Goddess can’t you figure out a simple rhyme?” he asked teasingly.

She waited still ever so patiently having all the time in the world. Around them people went about their business, not even noticing the Goddess and demi-god within their mists. Hecate rarely showed herself and when she did most found their selves wondering if they were going to die soon …silly mortals. Her attention however remained on the pest before her, her patients growing close to thin, “Don’t get cocky." She advised him, her tone very full of warn, “Yes. Yes I remember all that, but what does it mean?" Her eyes flashed at his comment," You're going to be late for dinner you little twit." Standing she took hold of the child's ear once more and instead of taking him to his Father, the Goddess of Crossroads instead took him to her own lair and settled on her dark throne , " Now. You will tell me what all of that means and you cannot leave until you do." A satisfied smirk crossed her lips, for once she was going to instill fear of her into the child, her aim of course was to teach him respect, “I bet you thought I was going to take you to your Daddy didn't you." Just the sheer thought that she had fooled the demi-god of mischief made her highly amused.

He grinned as she asked what he meant though his grin fading “Mom’s gonna kill me!” he cried, yelping loudly as the Goddess once more grabbed his ear “Figure it out yourself!” he cried, though the sudden flashing to the Goddess’ palace made the tiny terror gulp softly and look around, before smirking at the elder Goddess, then with a flash of blue flames and laughter he disappeared, only to reappear in the exact same spot with a pout on his face, crossing his arms once more he sent a glare to Hecate “You honestly think my Dad scares me? He could care less what happened to me.” he said then grinned viciously “Or didn’t you hear about him trying to use me to kill uncle Herc when I was a baby?” he asked sticking his tongue out at Hecate. Then with a growl of frustration he tossed his small arms into the air “Fine but you better let me go or I’ll tell my mom you kidnapped me!” he said in a threatening voice well as threatening as a child’s voice can get. “It means I over heard Aunt Discord, she convinced the thief to steal the head of the Spear of Triptych, now can I go?!” he cried with another glare sent Hecate’s way.

The scream of her name caused her eyes to grow red with anger. The bastard son had heard her whisper encouragement to Autocylus. Hissing slightly she stood from the meal in her own temple and cracked her back achingly.
Her muscles tensed in pale dignity. She was one to be trifled with, and she wasn’t going to let some bastard son of the war god stop her. Growling she eyed her belt and placed it on with little indifference and stepped forward, being engulfed in red flames.
Entering the lair of her own Aunt Hecate, she tightened her jaw and grabbed the ear of the child who was born of her brother’s seed. “You bastard son of an ilk.” She hissed into his ear as she grabbed him hard on one shoulder and hoisted him up to her eye level, taking both her hands and placing them on his shoulders. “What had I told you LAST time we encountered about eavesdropping… ON ME?” Her voice was a deep roar as she stared at her nephew with vengeance.
She seemed to ignore her aunt’s presence in her own home, but she knew her Aunt knew her allegiance.

She was just about to let the little brat go when in a whirl of however the younger Goddess liked to entered did so. No hello, no go to hell… well that would have been silly to say, but all she did was just come in and attack her Nephew. Of course by all means the woman had a right to do so and frankly Hecate had no intention of stopping her, however the reasoning of why Discord was so angered at Evander was sparking her curiosity very much.
She sat on her throne, her two precious beasts laying there as they always did and watched the scene before them. It was amusing to say the least, she felt a desire to laugh out right at the look on the little troublemaker’s face, but she didn’t, she held back until a stage of silence had settled in and then the woman stood. She was not tall, but alas her presence could still hold the attention of a room easily, “ Discord. You have better manners then forgetting to knock.” She stepped down from the raised platform her throne was situated on and stood next to the woman, “ I will let it slide. This time.” Her pale jade orbs moved from Evander to Discord and back very curiously, “ And what pray-tell did he eavesdrop on child?” Her question was directed to Discord of course, Hecate was an elder goddess and therefore the dark haired sister of Ares was infact a child in her eyes.

Eyeing the child she growled and threw him to the ground, sending a fireball to his side. "Move and I will hunt you down, your bitch of a mother won't help you either." Her gaze turned to her aunt, a slight smile on her face.
"I have allegiance sworn to you, and you know i cannot ignore this. SO I will tell you. A part of the sacred Spear of Triptych, I am sure you know much about this object. Now the blasted mortal has the spearhead." Her eyes turned back towards Evander, her hand throwing another fireball at his feet, she saw his tryings of crawling away. "I said stay."
Turning back to her, yes, beloved Aunt, she sneered. "I'm trying, believe it or not, to keep it from my Daughter. She plans to seduce Autocylus and steal that from him... damn child of delusions." Her form heaved a sigh. "For once I'm trying to do what's right... because what she plans to do would cause me more caos than I'm willing to deal with..."
Her eyes scanned Pain and Agony, her Aunt's two dogs. Since she was a welp, those two had had a connection with Discord. Kneeling, they came to her side and her hands pet them both. She remembered playing within this lair while she still nursed from Hera. Yes, Hecate was her favorite Aunt-even is she was Hera's sister.
"Ate, she plans on killing someone with it, someone very important to us all." Her eyes looked up to her Aunt, indicating silently that her daughter meant to kill her father, Zeus.
"Too much caos would be caused, and the mortal world would be free of it, only the Olympians would fair badly by this." Her eyes looked lovingly to the dogs before she stood. "One of the Oricles saw it as a possible future."

Her arms had folded, the motion almost delicate. Her jade stare watched the fear on Evander’s face grow and… she almost felt sorry for him. Almost. He was after all just a child, in all sense of the word. Her eyes turned to gaze once more on Discord, it was unbelievable how much she had grown. The Goddess of Death musedly watched her pets as they came to Discord, their red eyes giving her an almost kind greeting, memories surfaced a moment at how much the two creatures had kept guard of the raven haired young goddess when she had been but a small child. They had even taught her to walk, although her sister would argue otherwise.
With a titled head, red locks falling across her face Hecate listened intently to all Discord had to say and gave a momentary frown, she had never really liked Ate all that much… she had been a troublesome child and grew to be even more so as time went by, “ I see.” She said simply and grew into silence, thinking of what could be done to put a stop to the meddling goddess of delusions. And then an idea came to the pale red haired beauty, “ Why not let Evander steal it? We know he is capable and that he will hide it so well that not even he can relocate it’s whereabouts.” The Goddess shifted a bit, if Ate got to Zues who was to say that she would stop there… they were all in grave danger, “ Does your brother know about this?” More ideas where forming in the clever woman’s mind.

Her arms crossed slightly, although she did not always like her, she loved her daughter with a feverish passion. She knew what feelings were held behind the words of her Aunt.
"Ate is angry at her father..." Yes so the Gods had their faults as well-Ate's father WAS Discord's as well. "Zeus banned her from Olympus and ever since then, she's been planning her revenge." She sighed, in some ways her daughter made her proud, in others-she just wanted to beat the brat down and send a fireball her way as well.
"I had thought that Strife and her were planning this together, but then I thought-My son is not clever enough to think of this type of hell... Ate, being older as well as more devious... well, she confirmed it when she told me of her plans." Then she hesitated.
She had had plans to use it on Hercules as well, get rid of her half brother once and for all. The question if Ares knew about it struck her. "He knows about the spear, has been thinking of retrieving it himself... but as for his neice's plan, no-he has no clue." She straightened, "if anyone is to hurt her, it will be me." Eyes flashed a firey red, one as red as the animals that rested between she and her Aunt.
"If Evander hides it, forgets about it and the like, we will never know where it is... and if that happens, she could stumble upon it just as easily as we..."

Post by Persephone on Jan 27, 2005 0:23:14 GMT -5
Persephone had recently come back to the world of the dead. She had spent the first six months of the year basically with her mother, Demeter, whom she loved dearly with all her heart. But now she was not in a place on Olypus which was full of light and peace and floral decorums, now she was beneath, in the dark land. Down in the Pits of the Underworld. There she would stay for the next half of the year in the dark gloomy place in which she still loved as well. The dark and the light, both worlds she was facinated with, holding them dear. Here she would take pride and enjoyment of the time she spent with a man whom she admired greatly, her husband Hades, Lord of the Underworld. And here she served as Queen. This was now her domain, as well as his, together.
At first their relationship had its faults, her mother in dismay, the world beginning to fall because of it, but Persephone always was drawn to this dark world she never had seen before. And drawn to its dark master. Unlike most of the relationships the God and Goddesses had, Hades and Persephone shared theres with Peace. A perfect bonding of opposites in complete.
She tried to help him as best she could, and she did whatever was needed to keep this realm in its great peek. So many under estimated this realm and how important it was. Persephone understood this now, and from the childish girl she was abducted as, she was now a grown woman, inside. She did enjoy the keeping of peace amongst the realm though, or well as much peace as could be. So, in the late of days while her Husband was busy with the dead, she would wander and keep eyes on what was before them.
During this wanderings her attention was suddenly brought to Hecate's lair. A place which might have broguth fear into others but not Persephone. Her eyes were upon a well outside and there she could see in, inside held that of Discord and Hecate having a little discussion. While the poor child Evander was thrown to his feet and being scared into perhaps staying with fire? Suddenly the main room in which Hecate and Discord and Evander were began to become filled with a preculiar smell. One not often scenting the underworld. A aroma only set about by one Goddess. A fresh floral scent filled the room, daffidols, tulips, roses, you name it. And in the midst of it a sudden bundle of pale mauve mist began to arise. Before a flash and a few flowers began to spred behind the feet before disappearing as Persephone stepped forward. Her eyes glaring at Discord first. " I do not care what you two are up to, nor do I wish to yet. But I will have you understand one thing..You will NOT threaten a child in this Realm Discord. Especially a godly child. Do you understand? " She wasn't speaking in a harsh tone no, it was flowing soft and gentle yet at the same time commanding.
Suddenly her attentions turned to Evander and she moved towards the child and kneeling before him, a slow smile pulling across her lips. " Your mother is going to be quite worried that your not home. I know how horrible a mothers worry can be, I think its time to get you home." Persephone now took to ignoring the pair of Goddesses. Her hand lifted in its sudden glowing paleness before reaching out for Evander to take it.
